Born in '73 Mark has been drawing since childhood. His 1st brush with the needle happened in '91 when Toto from Monchengladback, Germany gave him his 1st tattoo (a big ol scorpion with fluffy dice hanging from the sting). Mark spent the next 3 months hiding it from his parents. Since then Mark spent most of his freetime designing tattoo's for friends and frequenting Bob 'Eagle' Smiths in Oxford (Now closed but apparently still working part time from Skin Grafitti in Swindon).
In '96 Mark decided that maybe it was time to do something constructive with his drawing skills so spent 4 years studying design @ Goldsmiths College, London where he graduated with an honours degree.
The last couple of years Mark has spent most of his freetime working @ Mystic Earth Tattoo Studio in Wantage, working under the expert guidance of Ian & Stacy Cox.
Unfortunately Mystic Earth closed at the end of '07 but the energy and skills live on through a private studio.
Mark now specialises in Black & Grey 'Dark Art' designs, some tribal and Bio-mech, although any ideas will be considered.
The name 'Vander' for those who may know him personally has come from another tattoo website, he has been known solely by this name by many people internationally so has decided to keep it to avoid lengthy explanations.
